  11.     As described above, you can use the
  12. arrow keys to move cells around.  When the
  13. cell position is at the end of a viewing
  14. screen, if you advance the cell position,
  15. the screen will automatically shift by one
  16. column or row such that you can view the
  17. current cell.  The following are some other
  18. ways to view the data sheet.
  19.  
  20.   Using the keyboard:
  21.     · <Page Up> and <Page Down> will move
  22.       one screen up and down.
  23.  
  24.     · <Shift+PageUp> and <Shift+Page Down>
  25.       will move one screen left and right.
  26.  
  27.     · <Home> will move the screen to the
  28.       beginning of the data sheet (first
  29.       column and first row).  <End> will
  30.       move the screen to the end of the
  31.       data sheet (last column and last row).
  32.  
  33.     · <Ctrl+Home> will move the screen to
  34.       the first data column.  <Ctrl+End>
  35.       will move the screen to the last data
  36.       column.

  38.     · <Shift+Home> will move the screen to
  39.       the first row of current viewing
  40.       column.  <Shift+End> will move the
  41.       screen to the last row of viewing
  42.       column.

  44.   Using mouse:
  45.     · Click on the <Up> or <Down> arrow
  46.       buttons of the vertical scroll bar to
  47.       move sheet up or down one row.  Click
  48.       on the thumb track of the vertical
  49.       scroll bar to move one screen up or
  50.       down.  Drag the thumb of the vertical
  51.       scroll bar to move to any row position.

  53.     · Click on the <Left> or <Right> arrow
  54.       buttons of the horizontal scroll bar
  55.       to move sheet left or right one
  56.       column.  Click on the thumb track of
  57.       the horizontal scroll bar to move one
  58.       screen left or right.  Drag the thumb
  59.       of the horizontal scroll bar to move
  60.       to any column position.

  63. █  Making a selection of data
  64.  
  65.     A selected block of data is the
  66. highlighted data block in the data sheet.
  67. All TechPlot's editing commands are operated
  68. on selected data blocks.  This means that
  69. you can cut, copy, or paste a block of data
  70. into or from the Clipboard.  There are two
  71. ways to make a block data selection.
  72.  
  73.   · Choose the Sheet | Select Block command
  74.     to specify the range of selection.
  75.  
  76.   · Use the mouse to click on the starting
  77.     cell and drag it to the last cell.
  78.     When the mouse cursor is outside the
  79.     data sheet area, the data sheet is
  80.     automatically scrolled to make the
  81.     selected area shown in the current
  82.     screen.  If you click on a column
  83.     title, the whole column will be
  84.     selected. If you click on a row
  85.     number, the whole row will be
  86.     selected.  Click 'ALL' to select
  87.     the entire data sheet.

  90. █  Data Input and Output
  91.  
  92.     In this section, we will discuss the
  93. general data I/O functions of TechPlot's
  94. data sheet.
  95.  
  96.     There are three ways to enter data in
  97. the TechPlot data sheet: enter by keyboard,
  98. load from a disk file, or generate
  99. automatically by menu commands.
  100.  
  101.     TechPlot can export data to many
  102. popular spreadsheet data file formats.  A
  103. selected portion of data sheet can be
  104. printed to dot-matrix or laser printers.
  105.

  107. █  Inputting data from the keyboard
  108.  
  109.     You can enter data by moving the cursor
  110. (highlighted cell) to the cell where you
  111. want and typing a number or label.
  112. Note: data cells accept only numeric numbers
  113. but a column name cell takes any ASCII
  114. characters.  As you type, the characters
  115. appear in the Edit window.  Press <Enter>
  116. or click the OK button (check button) to
  117. accept the input and the cursor will
  118. automatically move down one row.  Press
  119. <Esc> or click Cancel button (cross button)
  120. to abort the action.
